Adventures with CSA – Weeks 6 and 7

I have gotten a bit behind with my CSA posts so I'm combining weeks 6 and 7 together.

Week 6 was awesome as it included the pickling cucumbers again and there was an extra bag of them on the Leave One Take One table (where you put items like beets which you know you don't want and you take something other people don't want.)  I made another - larger batch of Grandma Jones's Bread and Butter Pickles.  The share also included cauliflower, green beans, a tomatoes, lettuce, and blue berries. I left a large bunch of fresh basil for my fellow CSAers as I have several basil plants in my garden.

Ohio sweet corn was the highlight of Week 7 - Yay for Corn Season!  More beans, cauliflower, broccoli, green onions, green pepper, tomato and lettuce rounded out the share.  Not much to say for the week - the veggies were great as always and were all consumed with the exception of the beans which are in my freezer.

I Test It First
